A Facial Enhancement Acupuncture treatment will concentrate on points and muscles of the face in order to improve elasticity of your skin and general overall appearance.
During the treatment Facial Acupuncturist Paul Adkins will also needle constitutional points on your legs, arms and body, these are the points that will help to balance and harmonise your inner elements.
Studies published in the International Journal of Clinical Acupuncture in 1996 showed that of 300 people who received Facial Acupuncture, 90% demonstrated marked results after only their first treatment.
Over the course of treatments you can not only expect to be looking more radiant, but you will also start to feel more at balance and happy in yourself. The Irish Times recently acclaimed this treatment as:
"...a viable alternative to cosmetic surgery and the effects can run much deeper than simply improving appearances."
When you feel more in control of your body, mind and spirit you can then start to address other issues in your life. These may be things to do with exercise or lifestyle, or maybe you would like to stop smoking, or lose some weight. These are all things that we can achieve when we are in balance and feeling good about ourselves, once you start to feel like this, you will be surprised how much your self image improves. This can be achieved by Facial Enhancement Acupuncture bringing your natural beauty to the surface.

"After the treatment I could see an immediate difference in my skin, it looked radiated and slightly lifted and over the days it feels firmer.
The benefits obviously increase with each additional visit. It's a great, natural alternative for anyone thinking about Botox or would just like their face to look healthy and rejuvenated."

Hi Paul - Just wanted to say a huge thank you for ridding me of my beastly acne rosacea. My doctor told me I would have to learn to live with it but thanks to you I have been clear for 5 years. I only tried it as a last resort - what a success story!
Producers from Twofour Productions - which makes programmes such as Channel 4's The City Gardener - have already spent a day filming at The Mitchell Hill Clinic, Truro for a new Discovery Health Channel series 'Silicone Chicks' which will be screened early next year.
Focus of the filming was The Mitchell Hill Clinic's Paul Adkins, who believes the programme will help people understand that there are methods of Facial Cosmetic treatments that do not rely on people going under the surgeon's knife.
"Cosmetic surgery is becoming increasingly popular and the series will look at a whole range of different cosmetic surgery techniques."
"We were delighted to be chosen to appear in the programme as it gives us an opportunity to show that there are alternatives to actual surgery. By treating the patient through a combination of Facial Acupuncture and Traditional Acupuncture, you can make a positive difference to the way a person looks and feels," said Paul.
Paul's patient on the day was Joan Bose, who owns Vitreous Contemporary Art Gallery, in Truro who said she was only too happy to appear in front of the cameras.
"I was honoured when Paul asked if I would take part in the filming. I've had several treatments of Facial Acupuncture and I have really noticed the difference. If anyone is considering Facial Cosmetic surgery I would certainly recommend they try this form of treatment first," said Joan.
Twofour Productions will be returning to the clinic in a few weeks to finalise filming once the course of Facial Acupuncture treatment is complete.
